downloading update

Just wondering why it takes so long to download the update? I started last night and it is taking forever once I get to the 4/6 level.

That's the problem with the patcher we've been trying to fix. It packs far more files than it needs to, files that were not actually changed, but it sends them again as if they were. That's why it's taken us so long to get the Easter patch out, because we've been struggling trying to get this patcher fixed so that it doesn't take this long with every other update. We understand it's downloading too many files, that's what we're working on fixing. Sorry for the inconvenience. It's done it again too but this time we are removing the extra files before sending the patch out to the players. That's what has caused our 2 day delay. The next patch should be smaller. And we have a plan to fix it for good we hope to be able to test next week. This is one of the unfortunate side effects of participating in the testing and development phase of the game, is growing through the pains of bug fixing. I hope you had fun seeing what we're working on once you finally got in?

Has the patcher bug been fixed? Oo?

Yes the patched HAS been fixed! It only downloads the files that it is supposed to download now. The most recent patch ACTUALLY IS a large one because we added two new zones to the explorable world! Hope you have fun wandering around!

today to install from scratch was pretty fast, the install was done before I realized it. However doing the Full update to the current version which I believe is 0.3.5 took about nine hours on a 6Mbps link. Of course it may have gotten throttled a little as I was playing games and surfing the Net while is was waiting for the update to finish. Well enough discussing on to discovering !!
