We have used many resources in the making of Visions and will continue to seek more as we dig deeper into development. We use a lot of books as well as websites, and occasional other random things. One of the main questions we get though is “What version of the Bible are you using?” or a variation of it along the lines of, “Why aren’t you using a translation that is easier to read, like the NIV?” For our Scripture Quests we are using only the King James Version of the Bible, because it is available in Public Domain and not bound under copyright. All modern translations are bound by copyright laws which make it difficult for us to use them in our game. We thought about just converting the “thee”s and “thou”s to “you” and “your” but there was some controversy over even that slight change. So we finally just decided to leave it as written in the KJV. We have used some online resources to help us research and organize some of our quests as well. The internet has been a great resource for information about the ancient Roman world. Some of the websites we learned from a few years ago have disbanded, but we will try to be as thorough as possible in citing our references. Thanks for your interest!
